Businesses can conduct different types of transactions through the Ecom Technology Co. system to match their businesss needs. Card Present, and Card-Not-Present (MO/TO and Internet) accounts are both accommodated by Ecom Technology Co. system, and dependent on your business arrangements.

Purchases

Purchase transactions bill funds automatically. Cardholder cards are authorized and debited in real-time (approximately 2-6 seconds). Purchases are good for businesses that have direct services.

Pre-Authorizations & Pre-Authorization Completions

This transaction cycle involves a pre-authorization, which is a request for funds to be "reserved" on a card for a limited time (usually a couple of days). Then the cardholder is subsequently charged the reserved amount when a pre-authorization completion is sent through. The completion references the original pre-authorization. This is best for businesses involved in shipping goods or providing services that have a temporary time delay.

Tagged Transactions

A tagged transaction cycle extends time and options between initial card data capture and charging a credit card. This makes it an excellent solution for recurring billing or delayed billing scenarios. Furthermore the merchant does not store credit card data! This greatly enhances security for both merchant and cardholders. Tags allow merchants to conduct multiple purchases from one initial "seed" transaction or one pre-authorization/completion cycle.
